For years, I had suffered from endometriosis and painful menstrual cycles.  I had visited various doctors complaining of pain and discomfort.  At one point during this time, I was misdiagnosed as having appendicitis and was prepped for surgery.  Thankfully, and by the grace of God, the doctor took x-rays at the last minute and realized I had only a severe case of constipation. I was quickly released from the hospital.  

Some five, years later, it was discovered during an annual gynecological exam that this continued constipation was being caused by two large dermoid cysts that were resting on my colon.  These cysts blocked bowel movements almost entirely and made bathroom time a harrowing experience.  There were times when I would faint from the pain of going a week without a bowel movement. 

In March of 2003, I had abdominal surgery to remove these two grapefruit sized ovarian cysts.  Since that time, I have been managing the potential return of these cysts through the continued and non-stop use of birth control medicine.  I have felt this was not the best way to prevent future surgeries, but with little guidance on alternative therapies from my doctor, I felt I did not have any another solutions.

Trough God’s guidance, in September, 2007, I discovered Natural Medicine and Dr. Huang.  Since beginning acupuncture and herbal therapies, I have experienced my first pain free menstrual cycle! I have stopped using birth control as a cyst prevention measure after using for over 14 years.  I look forward to improved and sustained results and am thrilled to be free of the associated risks involved with taking birth control pills.

If that weren’t enough, I was thrown another health curve ball.  I was told that I had elevated cholesterol along with hypothyroidism.  My endocrinologist immediately prescribed thyroid medicine and recommended I also start taking cholesterol medication.  I refused my doctor’s advice on the introduction of cholesterol medication as I did not think this was the best route for me.  With acupuncture, herbal medicine and three times weekly pilates workouts, I noticed an almost overnight reversal in my cholesterol reading.  In just four weeks, my cholesterol score went from a staggering 264 to a normal 178 and my thyroid function returned to a normal state. 

I credit this incredible improvement solely to Dr. Huang’s work through God as well as God’s healing power, and my abstaining from adult beverages (wine), cold foods and dairy from my diet.  The changes made to my diet were very difficult emotionally as I have felt for years that bread and alcohol were my friends.  They made me feel good when I was stressed or upset.  I now am feeling happier and lighter in spirit and mind.  Curiously enough, I have noticed that my internal organs are not working non-stop to keep up with all of the poor food that I had been putting into my body.  I think this is just exceptional and an unexpected and incredible feeling to have!  My acupuncture treatments are relaxing!  (I always fall asleep).  The team is warm and friendly without fail, and Dr. Huang you are a gift to all of your patients!
