21st century is a turning point - redirecting and challenging the

American Medical Association (April, 1998) estimates that 76,000 to
137,000 people died in 1994 from such treatments. That would make
so-called adverse drug reactions between the sixth and fourth
leading cause of death in the United States. In hospitals and under
medical supervision, 300,000 patients are killed each year due to
medical negligence in the United States. That means more people have
died annually under modern medicine than all annual homicide and
fire victims combined. This number is five times greater than the
number of Americans who died in the Vietnam War. (Time Magazine

Natural medicine is traditional medicine. With over 4000 years of history, it is the longest practiced and most used medicine. Insurance Companies:
According to California state law (Senate Bill 2179, January
1985), it requires health care services plans, nonprofit
hospital service plans, and disability to offer acupuncture
coverage. It includes every health insurance company, health
care service plan, non-profit hospital service plan, and every
insurer issuing group disability insurance, which covers
hospital, medical, or surgical expenses. However, each health
policy must be reviewed to determine acupuncture benefits.
Worker's Compensation:
In July of 1997, Senate Bill 212 was signed into law. It stated
that acupuncturists are included in the definition of
"physician" for purposes of treating injured employees entitled
to worker's compensation medical benefits. SB 212 will ensure
that you will have the freedom to choose treatment from a
healthcare provider that is most appropriate for your needs.
Acupuncture has proven to be an effective treatment and a
valuable means of getting patients back into the work force.
